Mandibular Advancement Devices

BlueSleep recommends different types of custom-fabricated, approved Mandibular Advancement Devices that keep your lower jaw slightly forward, and your airway open, while you sleep. This prevents most snoring and sleep apnoea, allowing you (and your bed partner) to have a good night’s rest, avoid health problems and have more stamina when you’re awake.

A Proven Treatment

Our own research* shows that over 70% of patients using a Mandibular Advancement Device had significant improvement in their sleep apnoea, and in most cases snoring significantly decreased or disappeared.

FAQ

Is an oral device right for you?

Your gum and teeth health are important factors. You must have at least one healthy molar on each side of the upper and lower jaw. Your gums must be in good shape (no excessive swelling, bleeding or pain,) and you must be able to open your mouth without pain in the jaw joint. (If you have pain from grinding your teeth, an oral device will protect them.) You can’t get a device during treatment with invisaligns, braces, or dental implants, or other major dental work. However, you can get an oral device after completing the dental work.

How to get an oral device?

Make an appointment with a BlueSleep specialist. Take a home sleep test. If the results are positive, we’ll recommend an oral device (or CPAP). If you choose an oral device, we will facilitate your appointment with an experienced dental sleep specialist. The process includes obtaining impressions of your teeth, sending your impressions to the dental laboratory, and fitting of the custom made appliance in the dental sleep specialist's office.
